WE STARTED OUT JUST LIKE YOU
Before launching The Wright Pawn & Jewelry Company, Jack and Pamela Wright were bargain hunters, frequenting Houston-area pawn shops for great deals on antiques and collectibles. With Pamela’s discerning eye for distinctive jewelry and other merchandise and Jack’s business sense, opening their own pawn shop seemed like a natural choice.
In 1992, Pamela and Jack bought an existing pawn shop, which had been established in 1975, located on Westheimer Road. In 1995, the couple moved their store to its current location at 6218 Westheimer. Since then, The Wright Pawn & Jewelry Co.has grown into one of the most unique pawn shops in Houston. Our staff has been trained to use various resources that are not available to the general public to assess value. Jack and Pamela Wright have had GIA training in jewelry identification and grading. Pamela Wright is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers with a specialty in jewelry and residential contents.. Despite our credentials, we also recognize that many times, you know your keepsakes better than we do – so we are open to input. We are all about fairness, and we want to see you again.
